Time & Billing

Time Entry

Each slip is recorded against a matter, with its date, hours, and description. Enter, edit, and delete your own unbilled slips on the web. The amount is the hours times the rate.

Slip Approval

Partners review the waiting slips and approve or reject them one at a time or several at once. Only approved slips reach a bill. A slip a partner enters or edits is approved as it is saved; anyone else's new or edited slip is waiting for approval.

Bills From Approved Time

Issue a bill from a client's approved, unbilled slips, then send it to the client by email with the bill PDF attached. Each send is logged, and a paid or voided bill cannot be sent.

Trust & IOLTA

Trust balances by client and the trust ledger, on the web. A disbursement larger than the client's trust balance is stopped with an insufficient trust balance error.

Reports

Reports on the web for A/R aging by client, work in progress by matter, timekeeper hours, and trust balances.

Running the Practice

Clients & Matters

Each client's page lists its matters, bills, and trust ledger; each matter's page has its slips, docket dates, and money. Create and edit clients and matters on the web.

Docket

Deadlines and appearances, each tied to a matter. Add a docket date and mark it done on the web.

Firm Settings

A partner keeps the firm's details and its people and their rates, and sends invitations by email, on the web.
